Wedding Day Beauty.

Flower.

I bought this flower hair clip in ivory from etsy seller Croska for $25.00. I love that it's big and fluffy. If I would have found a rananculus hair flower to match my bouquet, I would have snagged it up, but I love this one just the same.

Hair Option #1.

I've been going through the long and tiring process of growing out my hair since summer 2008. right now it's just shy of my shoulders.

If it gets long enough for an up-do, I'll try to do something like this. I want something a little messier than the usual updo, since it'll be windy by the water anyways.

UPDATE: my hair is definitely not long enough for this look, so extensions it is! I'm going to have them put in the morning of the wedding and hopefully they'll last through the honeymoon!

Hair Option #2.

If for some reason, my hair isn't quite long enough for an up-do, I'll try to pull off something like this.

I'd want a lot of messy curls, more of a beach look, and stick the flower pin on the side. this will be a pain in the ass to deal with because of the wind, but I'm willing to try it if it's the only thing I can do.

Hair Trial.

okay, for real... fuck those pictures up there. my hair stylist is AWESOME, and this is what she worked up based on a few pictures I showed her.

I got clip-in extensions put in, which surprisingly to me, look very natural and match my hair color almost perfectly. I love how loose the curls are and the shape it makes in the back. it's perfect.

oh yeah, and the hair flower was MIA during the trial. I think it's too big for my hair anyway, so I'm going to buy a smaller, more subtle one.

Make-Up.

I absolutely LOVE makeup. I love experimenting with different looks and being able to make my green eyes pop. Usually I go for the smoky eye look, so I'll probably do the same on the wedding day, but with softer colors... similar to what Keira Knightley's makeup looks like here. I'll probably stick to a light color lipstick since I don't wear it often.

I have a trial in June, so I'll be sure to post pictures of the result!

I had my trial with Nicole Palermo, and I absolutely LOVE her. She is unbelievably talented, and knew exactly what I wanted! I want a smokey eye look, which is pretty typical for me, as I do it myself on a regular basis. I didn't want anything too dramatic, but I really wanted my eyes to pop. I also wanted a little color on my lips, since I never wear lipstick.

The lighting wasn't that flattering in her studio, so I waited until I was in the car to take more pictures.
