Save The Dates.

Our Save The Dates were also designed by Allison Barnhill and again, she did such a great job. The picture in the middle is removable if guests want to take it off and keep it for themselves. We'll be using the same metallic green card stock, with chocolate brown ink for the letters.

The back will have all our information on it, including our wedding website, where guests can go to see more information about us, the venue, the attractions in the area and the accommodations. The chocolate brown ink will be printed right onto the green card stock.

Our Save The Dates arrived and they look great! I'm so pleased with them and I can't wait to see how impressed I'll be with our invitations! We're going to try to get them all in the mail by the end of February at the latest.

Invitations.

Thanks to Allison (www.handmadebyallison.com), we have awesome designs for our invitations. I couldn't be happier with what she's doing for us. We're going to send out 5x5 pocket fold invitations with the pockets opening up to the ride side. The green and espresso card stock is metallic and the ivory card stock is just plain.

Below are the final proofs of our invitations and insert cards. They are in the process of being printed and should be delivered at the end of May! I can't wait to get a peek at these bad boys.

UPDATE: invites are in 2 weeks early and they look fan-fucking-tastic! They turned out to be a million times more gorgeous than I thought they would. I'm so proud. Below are the finished products!

Escort Cards.

In working with our theme, we'll be using real pears as our escort cards. We figured it would save us money and the pear is something useful that people can eat instead of just throwing it away. I'll buy them in bulk and place leaf shaped tags in them with the person's name and table number on it.

UPDATE 7/9/09: the tag designs are started and I must say, they're pretty smashing.

I just typed all the guests' names in two column word document (after downloading font "CAC Pinafore" from dafont.com). I left the table number blank, as the seating arrangements have not even been started yet. I'll just and write the table number in once those decisions are final. I used five different patterns of scrapbook and trimmed everything with the Fiskar's paper cutter.

once I get the pears, I'll stick the tags to them with something... a pin, a toothpick, whatever. I'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

check em ouuuut!

UPDATE: after handwriting the table numbers in with permanent marker, I hate the way it looks. so I'm going to reprint all of them with table numbers, re-cut them, and re-glue them to pretty scrapbook paper. I love being a control freak.

Vistaprint - Share Your Photos!

Since we aren't putting disposable cameras on the tables, I decided to make these cards (with inspiration from knottie Alicott) on Vistaprint that will show our guests how to go online and upload their pictures onto our photo sharing website. I only paid for shipping and ordered 100 regular size postcards for about $6. The picture to the right shows the front of the card with some quirky wording (thanks to knottie Girl-23), and the back of the card with the instructions.

Favors.

instead of giving our guests little trinkets and things with our names and wedding date on it, we've decided to donate to the American Cancer Society. cancer has touched mine and Sean's lives in many ways unfortunately, and we thought it would be the best thing to do that our guests would really appreciate.

we ordered 150 of these little cards that will be attached with the escort cards to the pears, so that each guest will get one.

Accessories.

once again, I have to thank Allison Barnhill for her awesome paper skills.

I had her make some of our accessories - menu cards (1 per table), table numbers (18), programs, wishing jar sign, and bar signs (to list the alcohol behind the bar so that the bartenders don't have to answer the "what do you have?" question a million times).

no surprise here, they all came out fabulous. they were everything I imagined they would be.

for the programs, we decided to go with a simple vertical card stock with print on both sides. since our ceremony isn't religious at all, I just listed the order of the ceremony, along with the ceremony music. on the back, we listed the bridal party, did a little "in loving memory" section, and a thank you for our guests.

the pictures to the right were featured in her blog earlier this week. I have all the paper products at home, I just haven't gotten around to photographing them yet. :)
